So what an interesting turn in events it has been! I can’t believe it has taken me this long to get down some thoughts on my stay and coming back to the place where I started with the company. It didn’t take long for me to be reminded of all the things that I fell in love with to begin with. Dubai is a lot like New York city, so alive and full of life. I would defierentiate it though in this way. The thoughts I have of New York is that typical New Yorker attitude if you can make it in New York you can make it anywhere. The typical new Yorker in my mind is not interested in the world rather interested in staying trendy in what others in New Yorks special circles find trendy. This is where I would say Dubai is different. Dubai on the other hand first and formost has their sights on the future how can we achieve and grow. I think the Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed said it best when I was reading one of his quotes recently that said “impossible is not in our vocabulary” speaking of the vocabulary that is held by the inhabitants of Dubai and those who have made it what it is today. But in their minds it is more important of what it will be like in the future.
Anyways it is amazing to see how the city has changed in the time I was away from the New Sky Scrappers, and believe it or not I think that there are even more cranes and work sites then when I was here last. But its always nice taking a ride down Sheikh Zaid road down the middle of the city. Seeing the tallest building in the world under construction, the Burj Al Arab and the building that will soon be the tallest building in the world Burj Dubai.
