The calm before the storm!!!!!!

I am currently in Wickett, Texas visiting my grandfather, aunt and cousin three days before the adventure of my international business career starts. As many of you have heard I had a pretty interesting week or so before I left. Emailing back in forth to the home office trying to get all of the aregments worked out before I left. At the beginning of the week I received my first email from the travel desk saying that they were going to fly me to Belgium two days later, although it ended up that the first air reservation they could get was Sunday. They had told me that they wanted me to come to Belgium to pick up my partner whom was already in Belgium then we would fly from there to Hong Kong for my first project. As the week progressed and I had already confirmed my air arrangements to Belgium the Director of HR emailed me saying that they had changed some plans. This is when I was notified that I would not be going to either Belgium or Hong Kong rather to Dubai which is in the UAE.

It has been a pretty interesting play of emotions thinking that I will be going from one place to another but it has reinstated the fact that Semester at Sea taught us time and time again. "Flexibility" . Anyways I am really looking forward getting to discover all of what Dubai has to offer. It will be a new place. a new culture, and on top of that I will be trying to give 110% as I start my new job.

With that said I fly Wednesday from Dallas to Toronto, Toronto to London, and London to Dubai. Where I will finally end up in Dubai after more then 24 hours of traveling. All for now!!!!
