First Day of Work!!!

Although today was Sunday today was my first day of work. See the local people have off on Thursday and Friday, and the expats take off on Friday and Saturday. Which means today it was time to start. After getting ready I took a taxi about 2 miles from the house to meet up with Juilet my sales manager who is from Chicago. We had a productive first meeting going over the company and position and were able to connect and get to know each other. Since the house that she stays in when she is in town is just right next door she walked home and told me to take a taxi.

So I went into Mcdonalds to have lunch and called a taxi, well over an hour later there still was no taxi. So I started my trek back to the house. About ¾ of the way there I was finally able to flag down a taxi. Even though it really isn’t that far away from Starbucks you wouldn’t believe the heat that I was in. Just within seconds I was dripping with sweat.

Once back at the house I spent the rest of the day, studying up on company info. And researching on the movers and shackers of Dubai. As well as watching some of the videos that had been made by my sales manager when she was a rep. they were quit good. All for now!!!
